My Unforgettable Day

Hello everybody. Today I will tell you a story. It was my unforgettable day. It was summer time in year 2008 and our kindergarten held a very big sports contest. There were over 3 hundreds people who came to watch this important game.

I was seven and I represented my class to run the 100 meter race. I was a good runner and already won many prizes before. It was a piece of cake. No one was faster than me. I believed I could beat everyone without any effort. I smiled happily as I was dreaming the principal handed the gold metal to me.

Ten minutes before the race, I started to warm up. All of a sudden, I felt that my pants were loose. ‘Hmmm’. I looked down at my pants. “No worry! It’s okay”, I said to myself, and used three long strings to fasten my pants. “Looks tight, looks good”.

“Ok. I am ready!!” I looked around, the boys beside me were nervous. Their faces were pale. I could even hear their hearts beating. You are all losers and you will see how fast I can run.

“Bang!” I ran just like a bullet. Within five seconds, I was far away from the other runners. The audiences could not believe it! What a fast runner! “Go! Go! Go!”. Everyone cheered for me. “Look at me. I am the King of the world!”

When I had almost reached the finish line, suddenly, something happened! Everyone stopped yelling! Then, all of the audiences burst into laughter. Why? I felt confused. At the same time, I could feel a cool wind blow on my legs and everyone was staring at me. I looked down. “Oh my God!” Where were my pants? I stopped running and tried to pull up my pants. “Oh No!” It was so embarrassing!

I panicked and ran away from the track. In the meantime, everyone point at me and laugh. I saw my best friend, Stanley, laughing with tears. My teacher fell onto the ground, ”Ha! Ha! Ha!”. I felt ashamed and ran far away as fast as I could. I wanted to dig a hole and hide in it. It was my most unforgettable day.
